The DS200SLCCG3ACC is a LAN (Local Area Network) Communication Board developed by General Electric (GE) specifically for the Mark V Series—GE’s legacy turbine control system line, now obsolete due to manufacturing discontinuation years after its initial release. Despite its obsolescence, the Mark V Series remains significant as one of the final GE Mark product lines to integrate the brand’s patented Speedtronic control technology, which has long been a cornerstone of reliable turbine automation. This board is designed for retrofitting across a broad range of GE drives and exciters, playing a critical role in enabling networked communication for wind, steam, and gas turbine control systems—applications central to the Mark V Series’ functionality.
Its core hardware and functional traits are tailored to streamline LAN integration with host drives: it provides both isolated and non-isolated circuits for drive communication, ensuring signal integrity across different system setups. At its heart is an integrated LAN Control Processor (LCP) that processes all incoming and outgoing LAN signals; the LCP’s program memory is stored in two removable EPROM cartridges, allowing for easy software updates or replacements. To facilitate data exchange between the network and the drive, the board uses dual-ported RAM to enable seamless interfacing between the LCP and the host drive’s Drive Control Processor (DCP).
For user-friendly system management, the DS200SLCCG3ACC supports an attachable alphanumeric programmer keypad, granting access to system diagnostics, configuration settings, and real-time status checks—simplifying maintenance and troubleshooting for technicians. Voltage protection is ensured through a suite of Mark V-standard components, including rectifiers, capacitors, and diodes, while a functional priority-based PCB coating adds an extra layer of durability by safeguarding critical hardware from environmental stress.
