The GE IS220PRTDH1A is a Resistance Temperature Device (RTD) Input Module part of the Mark VIe Series, designed for distributed control systems. It serves as an electrical interface between 1-2 Ethernet I/O networks and RTD input terminal boards, integrating a shared processor board and a dedicated RTD acquisition board.
- RTD Signal Handling: Supports up to 8 RTD inputs with galvanic isolation, ensuring accurate temperature data acquisition.
- Compatibility: Works with TRTDH1D, H2D, and SRTD terminal boards; H1D offers standard filtering, H2D reduces filtering for rapid scan rates. Incompatibility with older TRTD boards triggers detection without physical damage.
- Redundancy & Connectivity: Supports simplex, dual, and TMR setups. Dual Ethernet ports operate simultaneously, with fault tolerance exceeding hot-backup systems.
- Diagnostics: Power-up self-tests; continuous power supply monitoring; electronic ID checks for hardware-code matching. Hardware/software limit tests trigger alarms, reset via RESET DIA/SYS signals.
- Installation & Design: DIN rail-incompatible, mounts via terminal board brackets to avoid connector stress; soft-start power circuit allows hot-plugging. Processor board includes temperature sensors, status LEDs, and auto-negotiating Ethernet ports for seamless integration.
